TOSAQ Memories

The TOSAQ December Club Day ‘Memories’ will feature a stellar line up of local, national and international artists. Have we got your attention now…. The program of music will feature music from across the years along with a look back at the fabulous year that was 2017!

Our co-patron Dr Robert Boughen will open the afternoon of music with a selection of his much loved pieces. The fabulous music and memories will continue with a vibrant assortment of tunes from TOSAQ members Judy Vale, John Ellis, Debbie Fitzsummons and Brett Kavanagh.

TOSAQ ‘Legend’ Bill Schumacher will open the second half of the memories program with a tantalising collection of favourites. The music will continue with a wonderful array of music from Lance Hutchinson and Brian Clark at the Christie. Ruth Monro will then treat us to some special piano duets with Brett Kavanagh at the Christie.

In between the performances from our amazing local artists, the new playback feature on ‘The Christie’ will be demonstrated for members and guests. Relive a few special moments from our 2017 major events. A tune from Tony Fenelon, David Gray and Justin Stahl will be presented. Relive the magic… Relive the memories…

Two special featured performances will include ‘Dancing Tambourine’ performed by Brett Kavanagh together with the live Christie recording made by Tony Fenelon. Finally, Debbie Fitzsummons will close the afternoon of music with Leroy Anderson’s ever popular song, Sleigh Ride. Debbie will perform on piano to the Christie recording by Justin Stahl! This will be a spectacular finish to what has been a triumphant year for TOSAQ.

The December Club Day Memories will start at 2.00pm, following the 1.30pm AGM. The Club Day is free for all TOSA members and visitors are just $5. The afternoon tea will be sponsored by the Brisbane City Council and will include a complimentary glass of wine to fire up the Christmas cheer.
